New Snatching Strategy in Karachi

Not sure if it's true, but it sure is a possibility of planned crimes. So better safe than sorry.

A new methodology is currently being used for the snatching mobile phones/valuables and car jacking by criminal gangs presently operating within Karachi.
Details of latest techniques are:

· Teenagers have been employed by criminal gangs and have been tasked to remain present in close proximity to major traffic signals around the city.

· At a red signal, these teenagers get close to the car(s) offering to clean windscreens.
· While cleaning they keep their eye on your mobile phones / valuables etc.
· Upon noticing a causal/unaware altitude of the driver and passengers they immediately pass the information by mobile phone to their controllers, located close to the traffic signal.

· The criminals then move behind the target vehicle(s) on motorcycle and at first available opportunity they carry out the robbery at gunpoint.

Advice:

· Increased vigilance is required on main routes particularly at traffic signals.
· If being followed move directly to the closet secure location/location where police/security forces are present.
· Do not drive directly home as this will indicate your residence to the criminals.
